APPLETON, Wis. — An Emterra compressed natural gas (CNG) truck cut the ribbon during the grand opening ceremony for the new GAIN Clean Fuel CNG station located in Mississauga, Ontario. It is the largest public CNG station in Canada and was built through a partnership among C.A.T. Inc., Emterra and U.S. Venture Gain Fuel Canada, ULC — which owns the GAIN Clean Fuel brand. The station will fuel C.A.T.’s fleet of 100 CNG trucks and Emterra’s fleet of more than 100 waste and recycling collection vehicles.

Located alongside C.A.T.’s new heavy truck maintenance facility at 1611 Britannia Road in Mississauga, the station provides strategic benefits to C.A.T. and Emterra. “The convenience of having this alongside our new facility combined with the significant cost savings provides great advantages,” said C.A.T. President Dan Goyette. “We’re looking forward to leveraging the advantages of this station, and the other four stations we’ve partnered on with GAIN Clean Fuel, to provide the superior service our customers expect while meeting our goal of reducing emissions.”

U.S. Venture Gain Fuel Canada, ULC Business Development Manager Marc-André Paquin was thrilled about the opening of this station. “Partnering with two well-known and respected companies created a great opportunity for us to continue GAIN’s growth in Canada,” he said. “We’re continuing to look for new opportunities and new partnerships to expand the international GAIN Clean Fuel network.”

All GAIN Clean Fuel stations provide easy-access, fast-fill capabilities. They also accept fleet cards for convenience and reliability to ensure that fleets have a consistent fuel source. “The ‘fast-fill’ station will be open to other fleets and operators of CNG vehicles , expanding opportunities for the transportation sector in and around the GTA to ‘go greener’ using a lower cost fuel in their operations, helping to make Ontario trucking businesses more competitive and sustainable,” said Emterra’s Founder and CEO Emmie Leung.

U.S. Venture Gain Fuel Canada, ULC, a division of U.S. Venture, Inc. is a leading Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) provider offering fleet operators access to GAIN Clean Fuel, an environmentally-friendly and cost-effective alternative to traditional fuel options. GAIN Clean Fuel stations are strategically located for carriers along major shipping corridors and provide easy-access, fast-fill capabilities. GAIN Clean Fuel is on track to open 100 new fueling stations across the United States within the next two years. For more information, visit: www.gainfuel.com.
